Who We Are Looking For
We welcome motivated PhD, M.Eng, MSc, and undergraduate researchers interested in semiconductor devices for memory, sensing, reliability, and neuromorphic computing.
Strong applicants usually have experience or interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Microelectronics and semiconductor device physics
- Memory devices, RRAM, CBRAM, or emerging non-volatile memories
- Device fabrication, electrical characterization, or reliability testing
- Optoelectronic sensors, machine vision, or neuromorphic hardware
- Data analysis, modelling, and experimental automation
Current Research Topics
CBRAM and RRAM Devices
Chalcogenide-based conductive-bridge and resistive memory devices for high-density memory and in-processor integration.
Retinomorphic Sensors
Bio-inspired sensing devices for dynamic machine vision and energy-efficient visual information processing.
High-k Reliability
Trap dynamics, reliability physics, and material/device characterization in advanced transistor and memory structures.
Funding Routes
Funding availability depends on admission cycle, nationality, sponsor requirements, and NTU scholarship timelines. Possible routes include:
- NTU research scholarships and graduate scholarships
- Industrial Postgraduate Programme (IPP) opportunities
- Sponsored projects with industrial collaborators
- Research assistant or research fellow appointments when available
Please check the NTU EEE PhD admission criteria and NTU graduate admission guide for official requirements and deadlines.
